About
Wim van der Walt majored in Greek and Philosophy at the University of Potchefstroom(1971-1973), completed a four year post graduate course in Theology at the University of Pretoria, worked for an insurance company for eight years, has gathered experience in the financial markets, completed a Honnours degree in Philosophy at the University of Stellenbosch (cum laude) in 1984 and specializes in the marketing of new property developments.
He is married to Keiron who does art and trauma work for the police along many other activities which keep developing. Wim has three thoroughbred sons who are the sole reason for his premature graying. His marriage to Keiron brought in a hurricane of a stepson, 4 dogs being two Bull Mastifs, one neurotic German Shephard and something that science will soon verify as the missing link between animals and humans, and two cats who have so many names that every one is now quite confused about their identity. They all live quite happily in Durbanville in a house that is called Soul Mountain.
Wim, being an amateur lover of books, his wife, music, his wife, thinks that art should not be left to the professionals. Somewhere the essence of art seems to drift into something that is not conducive to layered cultural life if mortals cannot participate in it’s joy.
He invites you to join the family of art. Most likely the best way to get to a meaningful existence.
